BALMACAAN COAT

This coat is crafted from a high-quality yarn blended from Super 100 wool and cashmere, dyed using the top-dye (TOP) method where fibers are dyed before being spun into yarn. By mixing multiple colored fibers prior to spinning, the technique creates a rich, multidimensional color while enhancing softness and durability compared to conventional yarn dyeing.

The TOP-dyed yarn is woven into a high-density double weave and finished with charm beaver, a special napping process that gives the fabric a smooth, lustrous, and luxurious surface.

The design features a fly-front closure and welt pockets, maintaining the classic elegance of a Balmacaan coat, while a large inverted pleat on the back drawn from traditional Austrian loden coats creates a graceful A-line silhouette. Accents such as leather buttons and brass charms on the pockets add subtle refinement.

To preserve the beauty of the fabric and design, the coat is constructed with special reverse stitching, with most seams and edges hand-finished. This technique reduces bulk, enhances comfort against the skin, and keeps the garment lightweight.
