PURPLE FASHION MAGAZINE - WORDS SOUNDS COLORS & SHAPES

PURPLE FASHION MAGAZINE

Purple was born in 1992 as a reaction, not a product. Founded by Elein Fleiss and Olivier Zahm, it emerged from a desire to challenge the glossy excess of the 1980s and give space to artists and photographers who didn’t fit the mold.

Rooted in zine culture and shaped by a raw, anti-fashion aesthetic, Purple became a platform for new voices and visual realism. It captured a generation’s discontent and turned it into a new kind of glamour—unpolished, personal, and defiantly honest.
