Founded in New Orleans by Darlene Fife and Robert Head in 1967, NOLA EXPRESS was one of the most provocative titles of the underground free press of the late 1960s and 1970s, operating at the intersection of activism, poetry, environmentalism, and publishing texts and art sometimes deemed pornographic. It’s front pages were really strong, sometimes using collage, mixed media, with impactful illustrations and typography, including this one from February 1967.

Our favorite magazine covers and front pages of underground newspapers, immortalized as prints.

A2 size poster (42x59cm / 16.5"x23.4") printed on offset paper.
