The 60/40 cloth is a fabric that is synonymous with SIERRA DESIGNS, which took the world by storm in 1968 when it was used for mountain parkas, using cotton for the weft and nylon for the warp, woven in a ratio of 60:40 respectively.
Woven from a cross between natural and synthetic fibres, 60/40 combines the characteristics of each: it feels good to the touch like cotton, allows moisture to pass through, and is strong and water-repellent like nylon.
We have now developed a 60/40 cloth using INVISTA's CORDURA® nylon as the warp nylon.
By using CORDURA® fabric, which is resistant to abrasion, tearing and abrasion and offers excellent durability and sustainability in everyday use, we were able to create a 60/40 cloth with a higher tensile strength than conventional 60/40.
DOWN SIERRA VEST is a classic American down waistcoat made from 60/40.
The design is based on the DOWN SIERRA JACKET and features a high collar and volume.

Returns
- Made-to-order items (24H PROPOSITION t-shirts) are final sale — no return, exchange or refund for change of mind (French Consumer Code, art. L221-28). The legal guarantee of conformity still applies.
- All other items: 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery. Request a return under “Manage my orders” in your account to receive a prepaid label, or email store@wordssoundscolorsandshapes.com.
