Mountain Research began in 2006 as a continuation of the ideas explored in the earlier General Research project. Its focus: life in the mountains, seen through the lens of cultural resistance and thoughtful rebellion.

Under the imaginary sub-brand “Anarcho Mountaineers,” the brand draws inspiration from figures like Henry David Thoreau, blending philosophical inquiry with outdoor utility. The result is a wardrobe that balances heritage and modernity — clothing rooted in the wild, but shaped by subculture, art, and a sense of irony. Mountain Research doesn’t just equip you for the outdoors. It invites you to question what it means to live freely within it.
