"60/40 cloth made of co-developed CORDURA® nylon".
60/40 cloth is a fabric that is synonymous with SIERRA DESIGNS, which took the world by storm in 1968 when it was first used in mountain parkas, using cotton for the weft and nylon for the warp in a 60:40 ratio.
The 60/40 weave, which is a cross between natural and synthetic fibers, combines the characteristics of each: it feels good against the skin like cotton, allows moisture to pass through, and is strong and water-repellent like nylon.
We have now developed a 60/40 cloth using INVISTA's CORDURA® nylon as the warp nylon yarn.
The use of CORDURA® fabric, which is resistant to abrasion, tearing, and fraying, provides superior durability and longevity for everyday use, making the 60/40 cloth superior in tensile strength to conventional 60/40.
Detailing includes buttons that are not in the front and different pocket shapes.
The details are slightly different from the original mountain parka.
