Over the years, the studio has developed a strong interest on printing processes, color and the combination of analogue and digital techniques.
Members of the studio regularly teach in different Swiss design schools that led to the creation of Color Library, a project dedicated to exploring and documenting color in print. Maximage also operates Maxitype, a type design platform offering both retail and custom typefaces.
Maximage’s contributions to graphic design have been recognized with several awards from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture. In 2020, the studio received the prestigious Jan Tschichold Award, one of Switzerland’s highest distinctions in graphic design and typography.

Her focus is on visual identities, editorial design and research-oriented projects. Her compositions, based on an analytical approach, are inspired by data sets and technical drawings.
Rhythmic sequences and a feel for detail and formal order characterize her work. Rather than seeing specifications as limitations, she uses them as a structural framework within which surprising design processes can unfold. She also teaches editorial design and typography in Swiss design schools.
Giliane Cachin’s work is defined by visuals that exhibit a certain complexity through architecture plans, model construction manuals, passport security patterns, geographical maps and an attraction to arranging as much information as possible in a defined space.

JAN ABELLAN
Jan Abellan is a multidisciplinary designer whose work spans all five continents. He has received several awards, including the Swiss Design Award.
Having a multicultural background, he does not identify with any particular nation, as he does not recognize national borders as defining identities. Instead, he sees the world as a fluid and open space for exchange, supported by strong and legitimate micro regional governance.
He completed military service to learn weapons handling and self-defense techniques, while also taking the opportunity to study the visual languages of utilitarian design and functional graphic systems. He later became Head of Media for an entire military division and took the opportunity to study propaganda communication.
Although he is not aligned with any political ideology, he immersed himself in far-left groups, far-right groups, apolitical underground movements, and participated in multiple demonstrations, in order to better understand the postmodern mechanisms of social belonging, as well as the visual codes and graphic aesthetics that emerge from them.
This research and experience translate into his designs for this project.
Abellan works in graphic design, type design, illustration, photography, video, animation, packaging and bottle design, painting, sculpture, graffiti, and close collaboration with printers and manufacturers.

DUAL ROOM
Dual Room is essentially a one-person studio, founded in 2010 by the Swiss graphic designer Emmanuel Crivelli.
Dual Room works for clients in both cultural and commercial fields, with a focus on editorial design and brand identity. The studio's philosophy has a clear manifesto : "attractive presages, structured visions and radical phantasms". His working methodology is to create an image or visual concept that teases the eye or pushes the viewer to question things, through structured design and radical hierarchizing of information.
The Swiss graphic tradition plays an important role in his work, especially its precise approach to typography. Like a musician working with synths searching for new sounds through accidents, he looks for new aesthetics based on strong, clear, and simple ideas.
Crivelli holds the Swiss Federal Design Award (2012) and the award for The Most Beautiful Swiss Books (2016). He also designed the visual identity for the 2018 Swiss Design Awards. More recently, Dual Room designed the 2024/25 identity for Maison Saint-Gervais, a theatre in Geneva.
